Lifespan faith development for chldren, youth, and adults provides a path for deepening spiritual journeys and developing a faith that is resilient, articulate and transformative. I relate well with children and especially enjoy the time spent together in the Stories for All Ages. My specialty in terms of religious education has been work with youth, adults, and most especially, young adults. I developed an experiential coming of age curriculum for youth with units on justice in society, self and sexuality, and faith and church that I have used with approximately ten different groups over the years. This year-long venture includes an urban adventure in a large metropolitan city, a mid-winter overnight experience involving a masking ritual, and an end of the year Wilderness Retreat.
Adult education has been a real love of mine. I've especially found teaching about Personality Types, Personality and Spirituality, World Religions, the Historical Jesus, Theological Explorations, and Spiritual Practices to be fruitful areas of engagement with adults. I've also led groups of teens, young adults, and other adults on various cross-cultural immersion experiences domestically and abroad. The learning that takes place in these experiences is always phenomenal.
You'll find some links on the Religious Education blog to view several educational experiences that I have led in the past couple years.
